Inspired by the art of makeup and the secrets of the best makeup artists in the world, Make up Factory was founded in 2005. Since then, we have been pursuing our vision of making the professional makeup world accessible to everyone by sharing our know-how and creating high-quality, professional textures.
Make up Factory makes professional high-end textures easily accessible to everyone and allows to achieve maximum makeup results with minimal effort. Our products offer high performance, reliability and are developed to meet the needs of our customers. Each product is created in collaboration with make up artists and reflects their artistic expertise. As a Make up Factory, we set our own standards and new trends instead of just being guided by them. We stand for reliability, closeness and passion for make up. We don’t give any rules, but provide inspiration and offer with our know-how and our products the tools to let your own creativity run free. Make up Factory is not only for professionals, but for everyone who wants to create a professional make up look.
We stand for the fact that you can achieve a maximum result with minimal effort. Our range is perfectly thought out, coordinated and functional, because we have a clear eye for the essentials.
Our products are created in close cooperation with make-up artists and meet the demands of photo productions, catwalks but also a demanding everyday life.
In addition to the professional character, Make up Factory attaches particular importance to the use of the products without hesitation.
All products are tested for skin compatibility and dermatologically confirmed. Extensive expertise and strict quality control guarantee that each product is “state-of-the-art”.
Make up Factory expressly rejects the use of animal testing.
Since the company was founded, Make up Factory has not tested any cosmetic products on animals and does not commission any animal testing. Alternatively, Make up Factory conducts internal application tests or patch tests (epicutaneous tests) on voluntary test subjects to determine the local compatibility of a product.
Animal testing has been prohibited for decorative cosmetic products since 1986 under the Animal Welfare Act. Since 1998, this has applied to all finished cosmetic products. Since March 2009, there has also been a corresponding ban on cosmetic raw materials, which Make up Factory very much welcomes. According to this, raw materials developed for use in cosmetics may no longer be tested on animals with regard to their compatibility. In order to ensure compliance with these regulations, Make up Factory also obtains confirmation from its upstream suppliers that no animal testing is carried out by them.

What exactly sustainability means to us, what role it already plays in our company and what further steps are planned for the future, you can find out here.
We recognize our potential and take responsibility for our part in a more sustainable world. Our goal is to produce less waste and make our operations more sustainable – along the entire supply chain. From production to packaging to retail delivery. Of course, we have not yet reached the end of our journey, but are aligning ourselves to be more sustainable step by step.
The future of our earth is close to our hearts at ANNY!
We therefore want to constantly develop and improve. Our concern is to gradually become more sustainable wherever possible. Here you can find out what we are already doing today:
We use FSC-certified paper for all our new Make up Factory folding boxes. In addition, we use mineral oil-free printing inks, which are made from predominantly renewable raw materials and are also cobalt-free.
We are proud to say that 272 members of our company workforce already work from home in the region.
Our company is climate-neutral. We work with Climate Partner, which manufactures clean cooking stoves through a local cooperative in Rwanda, on a climate protection project to offset our company’s carbon footprint. Traditionally, families here cook over a three-stone fire. With that in mind, using cooking stoves helps households cut their wood consumption considerably and thus protect Nyungwe Forest National Park from deforestation.
The excellent quality of our products is guaranteed without animal testing and our ingredients are based on the strictest selection criteria:
Since 2008, Make up Factory has been generating 1.2 million kwH of solar energy through panels on our company roof.
We can reduce CO2 emissions by switching from DHL to DHL Go Green.
Make up Factory pledges to meet its social, ecological and economic responsibilities for employees, customers and future generations. With our values in mind, greater transparency, responsibility and innovative capability, we want to further refine our processes and products step by step.
Make up Factory assumes social, ecological and economic responsibility for employees, customers and future generations. With our values in mind, more transparency, responsibility and innovative capacity, we want to further optimize our processes and products step by step.
In all areas of the company, Make up Factory addressed sustainability along the entire value chain. This also included making transport packaging more sustainable – not only at Make up Factory, but also at our partners. In this way, we constantly identified new savings potential and implemented material changes accordingly. Among other things, the bubble wrap that serves as the filling material in our Make up Factory product shipping was switched to recycled paper.
We have set up a sustainability staff position to refocus even more closely on this topic with Make up Factory, upholding our strong commitment and driving us forward as we progress. In addition, we already have sustainability ambassadors in the departments for whom sustainability is a value they live and breathe, both personally and professionally.
Make up Factory product and brand management experts are currently refining a guideline for more sustainable product packaging. In the process, the project team is dealing with how plastics are handled going forward, the recyclability of our packaging and tools for assessing.
With our sustainability report, we create more transparency for our customers and partners.

Because we are convinced: “No planet, no beauty”.
At Make up Factory, we want to examine different dimensions of sustainability in business challenges. In other words, questioning and changing how we develop, produce and act. Because nothing outweighs safety and quality for us. Other musts include being brave, taking responsibility and setting challenging goals. After all: “There is no plan(et) B.”
In the coming weeks and months, we at Make up Factory will be examining the following issues more closely:
